MAKNA SEORANG GURU

Guru adalah "Pembangun Para Pembangun Bangsa!"

Guru adalah pekerjaan yang berat sekaligus mulia. Profesi guru boleh dikatakan setara dengan pemimpin. Dia berhadapan langsung dengan murid-muridnya. Dapat berbicara dari hati ke hati. Mampu mempengaruhi pola pikir orang yang didiknya. Mentransformasikan ilmu pengetahuan dan wawasan yang dia miliki pada muridnya. Terbuka untuk diskusi masalah apapun. Tertawa bersama-sama. Ada kalanya jengkel dan marah. Semua murid dapat meneladani sikap dan perilakunya. Sehingga seorang guru adalah pemimpin yang begitu dekat jaraknya dengan orang yang dipimpin.
Teacher is hard work as well as noble. Teaching profession may be regarded as equivalent to the leader. He/She directly face to face with the students. Can speak from heart to heart. Able to influence the mindset of people who taught. Transform knowledge and insight he/she has to the students. Open for discussion of any issues. Laugh together. There are times when irritated and angry. All students can emulate the attitude and behavior. So a teacher is a leader who is so close to the people being led away.

Guru atau menurut Munif Chatib bisa disebut Gurunya Manusia adalah suatu profesi yang diberi peluang membentuk seorang manusia seutuhnya selama bertahun-tahun. Itulah satu tugas terberat yang diemban guru. Fokus seorang guru adalah bagaimana mengambil tindakan dan keputusan terhadap seorang anak agar menguntungkan bagi masa depannya. Sehingga tidak ada istilah hitung-hitungan untung rugi dalam hubungan timbal balik antara guru dan murid.

Kultur guru adalah mengamati siswa tumbuh dan berkembang, baik fisik, rohani, emosi, dan mental. Jadi peran guru di dalam kelas tidak hanya berkonsentrasi pada mata pelajaran. Guru harus mampu mengaitkan seluruh aspek kehidupan muridnya. Guru yang baik harus mampu menanamkan Rasa Cinta Lingkungan sehingga murid membenci pengrusakan alam. Dia juga harus mampu membuat siswa Menghargai Kejujuran hingga dilahirkan generasi bangsa yang benci akan KKN (Korupsi, Kolusi dan Nepotisme). Guru sendiri harus mampu Menghayati Iman yang Hakiki sehingga dia bisa mengajarkan dan mempengaruhi anak didiknya untuk menjauhi perdukunan dan kesyirikan. Dari segi Keilmuan seorang guru dituntut membuat kualitas ilmu para siswanya mampu bersaing di tingkat regional dan nasional. Tidak hanya itu saja, guru juga harus membina Hubungan Baik Dengan Orang Tua Murid sehingga keseluruhan aspek dapat terpantau.

Teacher culture is to observe pupils grow and develop, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. So the role of teachers in the classroom not only concentrate on the subjects. Teachers must be able to link all aspects of student life. A good teacher should be able to instill Sense of the Environment so that students love to hate destruction of nature. He/She must also be able to make students Appreciate the Honesty to be the generations who will hate KKN (Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism). Teachers themselves should be able to Live the Faith is essential so that he/she can teach and influence their students to stay away from quackery and shirk. In terms of Science teachers are required to make the quality of the science students are able to compete at regional and national level. Not only that, teachers also need to establish Good Relations with the Parents so that all aspects can be monitored.
